Keeping your links organized is key to a seamless content creation workflow, faster sharing, and increased earnings. That’s why we’re introducing Folders! A new way to categorize and manage your saved links. Whether you're planning content, building Collections, or simply staying organized, Folders make it easier than ever to find and use the links you need.
What Are Folders?
Folders allow you to categorize and store your saved links, making them easier to find, share, and use across Link Journal, Collections, and the ShopYourLikes Extension. Instead of endlessly scrolling through past links, you can now group them by category, season, platform, or retailer for quick access.
Best Practices for Organizing Links with Folders
Smart Folder Organization
To stay efficient, create folders based on how you typically share content. Here are a few effective ways to organize your link in Folders:
🗂 Category - Group links by themes you frequently feature (Home Decor, Beauty, Fashion).
📱 Platform - Name folders based on where you share them (Walmart Deals - Facebook, Holiday Deals - Instagram Stories).
🛍 Season or Trend - Keep track of timely content (Fall Boots, Spring Style Finds, Holiday Decor).
📆 Retailer or Sale Event - Save links from major sales (Wayfair President’s Day Sale, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale).
🏡 Personal Projects - Organize by specific home projects or lifestyle needs (My Living Room, Home Organization).
👥 Team Contributor or Admin - if you have team contributors or admins, create folders by a person’s name to organize each contributor/admin’s saved links.
Pro Tips for Using Folders Effectively
- Keep It Simple - Use clear, recognizable names for quick access.
- Batch Your Content - Plan social content and Collections in advance by saving all relevant links in a folder.
- Test and Optimize - See which folder structures work best for you and adjust as needed.
